Book Review :P

Hey Chickadees!

I know that a book review doesn't have anything to do with fashion or beauty, but i just finished this book and i gotta say, it's incredible! I cried at the end of the last book for about two hours!!

The series is called the Violet Eden Chapters and it is written by Jessica Shirvington.

Here is the blurb of the first book in the series, called Embrace, from her official website:

So basically there are four books in this amazing series and, as you may have already figured out, it's about angels. The first three books aren't half as good as the last book, and as i said, i cried for TWO WHOLE HOURS!

This series is a must have on your book shelf and i really recommend it for those who enjoy sci-fi and fantasy types of books.

Rose Gold Trend

Hey Chickadees!

So i wanted to talk about this Rose Gold trend that is going around the world at the moment. Personally, i LOVE rose gold and i would wear it over gold or silver any day. I think that it is something different and it really works against tanned skin tones. So, if you have tanned skin, then, by all means, go for it!

If you have fair skin tone, then just your basic golds and silvers will be better for you. However, that doesn't mean that you should never wear rose gold, it simply means that you should just have the occasional rose gold piece and only wear it on special occasions.

My favourite rose gold pieces are either simple bangles or the Michael Kors Rose Gold Watches.

Second Skin or Flow?

Hey Chickadees!

Some of you may be wondering what on earth this title means. Well, this post is about choosing between wearing a tube skirt (like a second skin) or a traditional skater skirt (flows).

I recently went to a party trying to impress a guy and decided to wear a tube skirt. All i managed to actually do was make myself feel self-conscious and i didn't even get to talk to the guy. Looking back on this, i think a skater skirt would have made me feel more comfortable and i would have been able to enjoy myself more, but i have learnt from my mistake.

Skater Skirt

Pros:
- Comfortable
- Good for summer and hot days
- Can be worn with 'second-skin tops'
- Looks preppy and cute with flats
- Looks grown up and ready to party with wedges/heels

Cons:
- Can't bend over
- It feels like you aren't wearing anything

Tube Skirt

Pros:
- Makes you feel good about yourself
- Figure hugging
- Can be worn with baggy or flowing tops

Cons:
- Tight
- Can't bend over
- Show any lumps and bumps (if you have any)
- Have to keep pulling it down because it rides up
- Makes you self conscious


Overall, if you are a very self confident person, you could wear whichever you like. But if you are like me and quite self conscious, it's best to stick with the skater skirts.

A Little Bit About Me :P

Hey Chickadees!

So, i really want to do a short post so that you guys can learn a but about me. I am making ten questions that i have to answer, and then i want you guys to answer the same questions and send them to me, so i can learn a bit about you.

The first five questions will be fashion related and the second five will be beauty related.

Obviously i'm not forcing you to do it if you don't want to!! But i would really like you to because i get to know more about what kind of things you guys like.

Coral pink/orange

2. Would you rather wear a dress or a skirt and top to a party?
I would wear a  dress because i like feeling girly

3. What is your favourite brand or shop?
Cotton on!!

This really pretty flowing dress that i bought today!

5. Who is your favourite fashion designer?
I don't actually know his last name, but his first name is Steven and he designs 'Freebird' shoes.

6. What kind of hair do you have? (blonde/red/brown/black) (straight/wavy/curly/frizzy) etc.
I have blonde/brown hair that is practically dead straight

7. What is your favourite makeup product?
Eyeliner because it gives your eyes definition

8. What is your favourite shampoo and conditioner?

9. What is your favourite lip balm?
Maybelline New York Baby Lips

10. What foundation do you use?
I don't use foundation but i use the Garnier oil-free BB cream

The Launch of My Blog!! YAY!

Hey Chickadees!

So, this is my FIRST EVER POST on this blog and i am so excited! Basically i just wanted to let you know that i plan on posting one article per week and they will be mostly fashion related. However, i am posting one article per day until Christmas, so about 4-5 articles will go up between now and then. 

Sometimes i will post about beauty products or monthly favorites or makeup tutorials, but i am hoping that i will have enough to write about with mostly fashion related ideas.

Basically i want to just try and find out what i like to post about and i will keep doing that!

Some of you may think that one article per week is not much, but i am only 14, i am still at school and i play competitive basketball, so i simply don't have time to write more than one a week! Sorry :(

During the holidays, i will really try to post more than one article a week because i will have more time on my hands, but i can't promise anything!

I will always link the other ways that you can contact me on all of my blog pages too. You can contact me in any of those ways if you have questions, suggestions, ideas, advice, tips, and anything else you would like to share with me. I am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism and i always love hearing from you guys! ;)
